Starting a large new piece from a 200 lbs chunk of sycamore.

I haven’t posted in a while and it’s time to get back at it.  We had a great fall with our two shows in Telluride and Ridgeway and sold a lot!  Thanks to all our buyers!  Anyway, I need to get busy and get my inventory built back of for the online shop and next years shows.  I’m not sure what the finished product will be with this one, but it took some doing to get this 200 lbs piece of sycamore into the lathe.  It is a little awe inspiring when that much mass gets to spinning and is a little unbalanced.  😳  There is a video of it on my Facebook and Instagram pages.
