Took a nice vacation on the Oregon coast for a couple weeks … finally got back in the studio and back to work on the bison skull.  Here is the progress as of this evening.  I’m 90% sure I will title this piece “Dragon of the Plains”.

Felt like doing some Pyrography work while waiting on some repair parts for my lathe’s steady rest.  I really enjoyed doing that bison skull a few months back so I got another and will be working on it for quite a while. 😀

It was a fun show with a great turnout!  We won a 1st place ribbon for beat in the wood category in the show which was a very pleasant surprise.  Many fine artists at this show.
