We’re off to the St. George, UT art show! 😀
The online shop will be closed until Monday, April 5 to prevent double selling anything.
Monument Living magazine article and cover.
A local magazine recently contacted me to do an article about my woodturning artwork and website. It just came out the other day and I was surprised to see that in addition to the article that they had put my on the cover. Thanks Monument Living!
WT #114, Finished! 😀
Very happy to have the lapidary work completed and epoxied in place on the vessel. This has been my most ambitious project yet combining deep hollowing lathe work and a lot of lapidary accent work.
WT #114, finished cutting, grinding, and polished the stonework for the vessel.
It took 29 pieces to complete the lapidary mineral work for the ring on the top shoulder of the vessel. They are finished to a 50,000 grit diamond polish.
WT #114, starting lapidary work for cabochon inlay.
Started cutting and grinding cabochons for the inlay ring on the top shoulder of the vessel. Got 5 cut and shaped today. It looks like there will be about 28 or so required. Lots left to do and then many many polishing steps. In the photo these are only ground to 320 grit ... the final product will have 50,000 grit diamond finish.
