Bowl/Sculpture from “Rich Lighter” Ponderosa with Malachite & Jet inlay. Finished with walnut oil. 19.5 inch diameter x 8.5 inch tall. The wood in this piece came from a very large Ponderosa stump on the Uncompahgre Plateau. The pine resin in this piece had been hardening up for over 100 years since the tree was logged off. The rich luster in the piece is a result of that process.
