Hollow Form Bottle from Rich Lighter Ponderosa Pine with Turquoise and Coal inlay. Finished to 50,000 grit with Cyanoacrylate. 7” diameter x 11.25” tall with average 5/16” wall thickness. I love the richness in color and finish with Ponderosa Pine that has become “Lightered”. In the South they frequently call it “Fatwood”. It is a process where the round resin from the tree’s root system collects in the stump and over many years solidifies and hardens. This wood came from the stump of a tree that had been logged off over a hundred years ago on the Uncompahgre Plateau.
